Is the grass really greener on the other side? Society places a lot of pressure on people to care about things that don’t always benefit the well being of an individual person. Many people create an ideal picture of what life is suppose to be like. We often only see the end results of the journey to the ideal place we want to be in life. Sorry to say, but skipping chapters on the road to an ideal life isn’t really the way life works. Therefore we must be grateful for what we have.


Everyday we wakeup. Hopefully from a great night’s rest to take on the world again and reach the ideal life we dream of every day. People great each other with a smile regardless of what is going on in their personal lives; especially if a person works in customer service. “Hi, How are you today?” I take this as an opportunity to remind myself of how good life is by saying “Life could be better, but it could be worst.” The other person’s normal says “True” and then gives me smile. It is a simple but powerful reminder to be grateful, and it also helps the other person to realize the same thing.

We only get a gleams into the lives of people we may inspire to be like. Remembering to smell the flowers can help a person deal with life when things are not going as planned. We all go through situation that we wish we could avoid, but it only makes us stronger. Being stuck in a negative though patter isn’t good for our over all well being; and will not help us get to that ideal place in live. Once a person gives into being ungrateful they may end up becoming more depressed, lose friends, start taking drugs or worst. Keep in the back of your mind that life is good over all; then we can get through anything. That is being grateful.

  3. Don’t take what you have for granted.
  4. What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.
  5. Exercising is a good way to relieve stress.
  6. Lean to focus your frustrations in a constructive way.
