The truly successful learn how to use their piece of mind to act in ways that will bring them success. Knowing when to act at the right time is an art that needs to be mastered. Often people get caught up in the moment and react badly; leading to failure. Patients is defined as being able to accept or tolerate delays, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious.
I first started mastering patients as a lifeguard when I was a teenager. Sitting by the pool for hours at a time can be boring, but a lifeguard must stays on point. As a lifeguard knowing when to act can be the moment between life and death for a swimmer. In business patients may not be a life and death situation, but it can be the moment between success and failure. Later in life as an IT business professional I often encounter people who panic, but by being patient and keeping piece of mind I can solve problems faster to get a person back on track. Spotting problems before they happen also comes from having patients. If you watch closely and carefully you will see the out come before others will. Therefore being patient will give you a competitive advantage over others.
In Sun Tzu’s book The Art of War it talks about knowing when to attack. Without patients winning can be costly or even impossible if one does not have piece of mind and understanding of their own physiologic responses to fight or flights. Once mastered you will become more successful and see things clearly when others do not. You will be ready for anything that may come your way. Be successful.
